Canadian Thrashers HYPERIA Unleash New Single EXPERIMENT 77

Relocating from Calgary to Vancouver, Canadian thrashers Hyperia have revealed the second single Experiment 77 from their upcoming second album Silhouettes of Horror. This follows on from their 2020 debut album Insanitorium. If you are fan of fast, raw, aggressive thrash metal with a sprinkle of melodeath, then be prepared to have your face pummelled.

Experiment 77 is about a government experiment that actually happened in Kentucky in 1954 where a prison doctor isolated inmates and fed them “double, triple and quadruple” doses of LSD for 77 days straight. I think only Ozzy could survive that volume of narcotics.

Guitarist Colin Ryley commented:

“We think that we have polished our sound and pushed ourselves to create what we believe is a newly refined vision. This record has pushed the whole band to their limits, and the songwriting, performance, and production value is a huge step up. We feel the fans will enjoy this new album even more than our first full-length.”

Silhouettes of Horror will be released on 18th March.
