The new single off Perpetual Chaos – Genocidal Command (featuring Schmier of Destruction) gets official lyric video
On the back of their critically acclaimed album Perpetual Chaos, Brazilian thrashers Nervosa release an official lyric video for Genocidal Command. The album secured the band their first chart positions at #18 in Germany, #6 on the US Hard Music Album charts, #9 on the US Top New Artist Albums charts and recently returned to #1 on the NACC Heavy chart.
With an almost entirely new lineup, I was blown away by Perpetual Chaos. The authentic energy comes forth in spades, feeling both organic and fresh. You don’t have to spend long digging through the lyrics to appreciate the persistent effort Nervosa have had to bring to legitimise themselves in an environment doing it’s best to hold them down. With an album of this quality, no authentication is required. This metal crew is legit.
Genocidal Command presents itself as a spitting and gnarly thrash epic. Vocalist Diva Satanica lives up to her name with a brutal display, accompanied by the terrific range of Schmier. The accompanying lyric video is as chaotic as energetic as the track itself and fits like a glove.
If you a fan of Slayer, Legion of the Damned, or anything else on the aggressive, gritty side of thrash metal, you have found a new band to immediately listen to.
