Crabcore is back baby! Seafood sauce at the ready. After shifting away from the style they thrust upon the unsuspecting masses on their first return track All My Life, Attack Attack! have gone back to their roots on latest release Brachyura Bombshell. Did you miss the explosion that happened in 2007, and crabcore happened to pass you by? Well think shouty metalcore verses, dance hook chorus’, and a brutally over the top breakdown. Then crabcore it be.
This new release brings a heap of that electro-core style and swagger, and the most over the top of chuggy breakdowns. Marvellous. After the release of All My Life, I was worried that the return of Attack Attack! had coincided with the retirement of the crabcore goodness they pioneered. With the release of Brachyura Bombshell – and it’s delicious slice of crabby nourishment, hopefully we’re back on track.
We just need the return of ‘band in a field’ music videos and we’re straight back in the mid noughties!
